The unnamed Midwife wasn't present when Kylie Platt suddenly went into labour in 8 Coronation Street but instead gave instructions over the phone to Gail McIntyre, Leanne Tilsley and David Platt to assist them with the birth. Lily Platt was born just as the paramedics arrived. The midwife was also there and stayed behind to clear things up and, seeing that all was well, left the house with a promise to come back at 11.45am next day.
