Kilbarchan is a village in Renfrewshire, near Glasgow. It is home to around 5,000 people. It is a village steeped in hsitory with 19th century weavers cottages still lining the Main Road as well as tenements from the early 20th century. It is bordered to the south by Johnstone, to the west by Brookfield, to the north by Bridge Of Weir and to the east by Howwood. The village was expanded in the 1920s with the construction of cottage flats at the top and bottom of the village for rent. private dwellings were also built in the form of bungalows.
