Uncle Salty is a song by American hard rock band Aerosmith. The song, which totals four minutes and ten seconds, was written by lead singer Steven Tyler and bassist Tom Hamilton. It is track number two on the band's 1975 bestselling studio album Toys in the Attic. "Uncle Salty" is one of the band's earliest works touching on a major social issue. The song focuses on child abuse and incest. Aerosmith would touch on similar lyrical subject matter again, in their 1989 hit song "Janie's Got a Gun".
