Krand was a Human who worked in the Republic Strategic Information Service during the Cold War with the Sith Empire. A tan-skinned female with black hair and brown eyes, she was stationed on the planet Coruscant as an analyst under Agent Galen in the Senate Tower. When the design files for the Planet Prison superweapon were stolen by the Rodian thief Vistis Garn for the criminal organization known as the Migrant Merchants' Guild, the former apprentice of Jedi Master Orgus Din recovered the files and returned them to the Senate Tower. The Jedi Knight gave the files to Galen, who passed them off to his subordinate Krand and ordered her to decrypt the files and analyze their contents.
