Yes and No. Inferno is the "Soul" of Soul Edge, Nightmare acts as a body for Inferno/Soul Edge. Nightmare was originally the Azure Armor that Siegfried wore when he himself was originally Nightmare but discarded it when he was freed from Soul Edge's will. Zasallamel then used the armor to create a body/avatar for Soul Edge/Inferno, thus Nightmare is born, again.
