Oxana Karpova was a Manticoran citizen and a petty officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Holding the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, she served as the helmwoman of the yard tug HMS Stevedore. She and the vessel's executive officer, Lieutenant Édouard Boisvin, were on bridge duty when the space station was attacked and destroyed by the Mesan Alignment Navy in Operation Oyster Bay. The ship and its crew survived the destruction. (HH12)
