Before he met Drautic and the Dreaded Pirates, he was cruel, cold and cynical. He is extremely observant. He prefers his own inhumane underlings than to hire mercenaries or even hire servants because of his past experiences with people at a very young age. Despite his negative personality, he has some morale left inside of him. But all of it are overshadowed due to his atrocity and violent solutions to solve problems like bandits and extremist groups. Shino is very confident in his abilities in battle but he doesn't get overconfident. He easily gets irritated when enemies tend to be overconfident and talks too much, prompting him to smack their faces in the ground.
