Dungeontown was a makeshift prisoner shantytown on Despayre that accommodated criminal convicts sentenced to transportation to the prison planet. Teela Kaarz was among several hundred prisoners from Dungeontown who were recruited by Imperials seeking additional slave labor for the construction of the Death Star in orbit above the planet, who left Despayre on board the prisoner transport ship GLTB-3181.
