Jack Burkhart is a successful lawyer and as so, he and his family have an expensive lifestyle. His wife, Pam Burkhart, was first dating a fireman but instead married Jack probably because of his money. Jack does not like Kelso, even going as far as cutting off Jackie's financial support when he discovers she still dates Kelso even though he said he did not want her to date him. In the Season 5 episode Black Dog (a.k.a. Ow, My Eye), Jack gets arrested for bribery and embezzling $60,000 and he is in jail until the end of the series.
