The articles on the RuneScape Players Wiki can be edited and improved by anyone. No one should edit a page expressing that only people who have permission to edit the article can do so. This is because users do not have ownership of any of the articles on the wiki, even if the article concerns their player. After all, this is a wiki, and everything released here (excluding content already protected by copyright laws) is under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License.
