The Pueblo were a tribe of American Indians on Earth. In 1680, twelve Pueblo tribes coordinated an uprising, called the Pueblo Revolt, to force the Spanish out of present day New Mexico. Ten years later, the Spanish returned and reconquered the lands of the Pueblo tribes. Among the Spanish was Javier Maribona Picard, an ancestor of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Anthwara, the Tribal Council leader of the North American Indian colony on Dorvan V told Captain Picard about this conflict in 2370. (TNG: "Journey's End" )
