The Blackadder - The Historic First Series was the first of the Blackadder series to be released on DVD. It was released just before Christmas 1999 and was quite a good seller. It was the first time that any of the Blackadders had been available to buy on DVD which made it attractive due to DVD's extended life and picture quality.
