Cim’al was originally a high elven fortress city in the Skullreach Mountains, built two thousand five hundred years ago to stand against the armies of the dwarven kingdom in Neverlight below the mountains. The dwarven kingdom was defeated by the elves two hundred years after the fortress’ completion, and the few surviving dwarven clans scattered throughout Neverlight and the mountains. About a hundred years later, a green dragon and its various monstrous minions conquered the elven city; the dragon taking the city’s castle as lair. It is said that the dragon's minions were armed with newly crafted dwarven weapons and armor.
