The Tarahong detention center was a prison of the Tarahongian government in the 24th century. Quark's cousin Barbo spent several years in this detention center after Quark betrayed him. In 2369 Grand Nagus Zek mentioned during his visit aboard Deep Space 9 that Barbo was released from this prison. (DS9: "The Nagus") According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), there was a star system named Tarahong, in which this prison might possibly have been located, in the Alpha Quadrant. The system's primary was an A-type star.
