Curtis Janssen was a Navy Lt. who was on vacation with his friend, Dean Westfall. The two were pulled by an imposter posing as a State Trooper who then proceeded to kill them by shooting them and as such, the discovery of their bodies prompted the Major Case Response Team to be called to the scene to investigate. After a near-death experience courtesy of a bomb that had been rigged to the underside of the rented car, the team discovered that an old enemy was the one responsible.
