Judy Surtain was a television reporter with Channel 4 in the early 2000s. In January of 2002, she reported on the Arthur Delacroix murder investigation. She had a secret source in the LAPD who fed her information about a possible suspect who had a prior conviction for child molestation. She was later caught in a trap set by Bosch who fed false information to her source, which she in turn broadcast. She was not disciplined for this misstep and continued as an onscreen TV reporter.
