Malano III was a planet formerly ruled by the A'mari clan. In 0 ABY, the Imperial assassin X-7 pretended to be a warrior from Malano III in order to gain the trust of Princess Leia Organa. X-7 told the story of how the Empire destroyed the planet's capital city of Mirabel when the local populace objected to the Empire's presence in their planet. It is not known whether the story was true or a way for X-7 to gain sympathy.
