The Zombie Bomb was a device Prime Evil ordered Long John Scarechrome to plant in Ghost Command in the future. Once it went off, it would turn Futura and the Ghostbusters into walking zombies. Belfry stowed away on the Ghost Galleon to warn the Ghostbusters. Luckily, he had time to do so because Long John found the Zombie Bomb's flint was wet. Futura used her special mental powers to teleport the heroes into Ghost Buggy, but Tracy the Gorilla left the tablet with whereabouts of Jake and Eddie's fathers inside Ghost Command. Once more, Belfry came to the rescue to fly back into Ghost Command and get the tablet just before the Zombie Bomb went off and Ghost Buggy broke the time barrier.
