Ensign Manwaring was a Starfleet officer who served on Deep Space 9 in 2370. In that year, he spent at least two weeks avoiding the station's assay office (where his love interest Freyla worked) as he thought she was in love with Lieutenant Strek, although, according to Jadzia Dax, this was not the case, as Strek was seeing Security Officer Seelee and Freyla was waiting for Manwaring to ask her out. (DS9: "Shadowplay") This character was only mentioned in dialogue.
