Van Dyke was a character in Call of Duty: United Offensive, and was part of the Dutch Resistance that appeared as part of the squad that saved Doyle when his plane was shot down. Van Dyke help his comrades and Doyle make their way to the bridge. Van Dyke had the explosives to destroy the bridge but he was shot by a German soldier while making his way to the bridge. He is never mentioned in the game again.
