Akodo Blades were designed to exploit an Akodo's ability to strike an appropriate weak point. They were initially designed to guard against the possibility of Akodo Armor being used against Lion troops. A friendly rivalry was formed between the weaponsmiths and armorers of the Akodo, as each continually tried to outdo the other. Only the most honorable individuals forged an Akodo Blade, for it was believed the purity of the smith's soul would infuse the sword. Instead of a maker's mark the smith engraved the mon of the Akodo family on it, forgoing personal pride for the unity which the Akodo prized so much.
