Jane Silber is currently Chief Operations Officer at Canonical Ltd., the commercial sponsors of Ubuntu. In March 2010 she will become Canonical's CEO, replacing Mark Shuttleworth. Silber joined Canonical in July 2004 as COO. Her work at Canonical has included leading the Ubuntu One project and ensuring that large organizations find Ubuntu "enterprise-ready". She has degrees from Vanderbilt University, the University of Oxford, and Haverford College.
