Aqua is a fictional character in the Kingdom Hearts series, to appear in the upcoming game Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Her first appearance was in the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts II, titled The Gathering. The video was continued on the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, named Birth by Sleep. While Aqua's name means 'water' in Latin, Kairi's name means 'sea' in Japanese. Any connection between the two is unconfirmed, however similar name meanings also apply with Sora and Ven, and with Riku and Terra.
