Bringing Up Baby was one of two films that Veit Harlan watched on the television, the evening after being circumcised. The other was Frankenstein. Although it was a German dub of a century-old black and white film, Harlan was quite delighted with the zany comedy of Bringing Up Baby, although the next morning he did acknowledge that he was on strong painkillers while watching, and that might have skewed his perception.
