Manhunter Lud is a member of the proto peacekeepers known as the Manhunters who were created by the Guardians of the Universe before the Green Lantern Corps but they went rogue. Lud came to Earth and joined the Robot Renegades, who seek to take control over all organic life. He wears an eyepatch over his right eye which covers the marking of his master agent of the Nameless. He along with his team are recruited by Doc Magnus to take down the Death Metal Men.
