Francisco Ruiz Velasco is a Mexican comic book artist and painter who worked on the comic Aliens vs. Predator: Deadspace for Dark Horse Comics. Active in the comics industry since the mid-1990s, Velasco has also worked on a number of comics for Dark Horse in the 2000s, including Star Wars, LoneWolf 2100 and Battlegods. He is also a concept designer working full-time for Blur studio. In 2006, he directed Blur's shortfilm Gentlemans Duel, and 2008 he worked as a concept designer on the film Hellboy II the Golden Army. He currently lives and works in Venice, California.
