The Izanami clan have existed ever since the Warring States Period, being one of the many clans waging war on each other, with the Izanami having a heated rivalry with the Hagoromo Clan. After Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha formed an alliance and founded Konohagakure, the Izanami clan was one of the many clans who joined them and settled down in Konoha. Over the years, the Izanami clan became one of the most prestigious clans of Konoha, and one of the most admired ones.
