Richard Albrecht (born 1950 in Manchester) appeared on Coronation Street as Derek Heavey intermittently during 1999, 2002 and 2003. Richard attended the E15 Acting School between 1967 and 1970 after which he began acting professionally in repertory, community theatre, commercials, corporate videos, and many TV programmes. Film credits include: Jude (1995) and The Man Who Cried (2000).
