Marquis Jhardin was the Commander of the Marchland Sentries. He was an older, heavyset man with short grey hair, and pale eyes hidden within a nest of wrinkles. In another instance, he was described as having black curly hair.Often found with a pipe in his mouth, Jhardin's teeth were stained. The Marquis had once hoped to be a poet, but circumstances made him a soldier. He had a tendency to speak in poetic language and could quote passages from Thenys Bule's Sayings of the Fool.
