Metal City Mayhem is the first Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure Gamebook published by Puffin Books under the Fantail imprint. It was released in 1993 and written by James Wallis. Sonic gets distracted by a tough Game Gear game, and while he's not looking, all of his friends are kidnapped. This really frustrates him because he needs to consult with one of his friends on how to beat the game's final boss.
