As lightweight "space age" materials become relatively inexpensive, coupled with advanced computing power it will be very possible to "privately" travel to the moon. Theoretically speaking, a small room complimented with a few PC's, flat screen monitors and the internet could serve as "Mission Control". Expect a lunar travel agency between 2012 and 2020.
