The Environmentalists are an internal faction in Tropico 5, first becoming relevant during the Cold War. The Environmentalists value the preservation of nature above all else. They start as a small faction during the Cold War, but grow more numerous in Modern Times. Although they oppose industry, mining, and logging, they can agree to a limited tourism industry, providing the island's natural beauty is preserved.
