Star Wars: The New Empire is a novel currently being written by DumSpiroSpero. The novel takes place in the extremely unexplored time period between the Cold War and the New Sith Wars, approximately two-thousand years before the Battle of Yavin. The story is mostly told through the eyes of Darth Anathemus, reigning Dark Lord of the Sith, though some chapters are told through the eyes of other characters. The novel began production on May 20, 2012, though its main character, Darth Anathemus, had been imagined by DumSpiroSpero for at least a month prior.
