The Backup Ribbon Project is a project to distribute ribbons advertising one's commitment to the Backup Project principles; that is, commitment to actively intervene in harassment at geek events. The project distributes badge ribbons of the kind that are often stuck to Science Fiction convention badges to advertise affiliation with various causes and communities. The ribbons read "Back up!" in white on a purple ribbon (see a picture).
