Thorned Fairy Island is one of the locations of a Great Fairy in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The entrance to her fountain is blocked by thorny vines which can only be destroyed by plunging three sturdy switches nearby into the ground. This renders Link unable to access the Fairy without the Skull Hammer. The Fairy inside grants Link a larger quiver with an increased capacity.
