Waru Teyshan was a male Bajoran who lived in the 24th century. In the 2370s, Waru held the rank of Ensign in Starfleet and was assigned to Deep Space 9 as an engineer. Waru's mother was the Vaiora of a village on Bajor. In 2371, Ensign Waru heard noises coming from Enak, a sentient starship docked at Deep Space 9 and thought of ghosts. (DS9 novel: Valhalla)
