"Incident" is a story by Rob Morris set in the Orion Press continuity, featuring Peter Kirk and Demora Sulu, set inbetween the end of 'Star Trek 6 : The Undiscovered Country' and the start of 'Star Trek : Generations'. Senior Cadet Demora is pleased to learn that her unofficial 'cousin', the recently-lauded Lieutenant Peter Kirk, will be guest instructor in her Exobiology Class at the Academy. But just as Peter's past mistakes haunted him, so now does his fame and praise give her classmates an unrealistic picture of him. Making matters worse, a mundane but potentially lethal situation crops up, requiring Peter to be not an action hero, but a smart officer.
