The Garoos (adj. Garoosh) were a member species of the New Republic. They could be found in all levels of Republic society. At the same time that a Garoosh senator's voice was heard in debates on the Caamas Document and the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, another Garoos named Cromf was an informant for the smuggler Mazzic. Garoos had ear clusters which could be opened and closed, and spoke Basic with an odd, whistling accent. They breathed through purple-tinged gillis flaps.
