The Third Galactic Empire was the official name of the third major galactic occupation by the Galactic Empire. It was first led by Oladam Harmon I. There would be 12 Emperors Total. It was this Empire that was called the Fourth Galactic Empire by Samuel Harmon after his hostile overthrow of the Republic, despite the fact that it was the still the Third Empire. It was known for its unusual cruelty to prisoners and captives. Taxes were much higher than any other Empire, due to its size and military needs. Its downfall began when the Second Galactic Civil War erupted. With its fall in 2,080 ABY, at long last the Empire Palpatine had established in 20 BBY was finally laid to rest.
