Interestingly enough, they can still be seen flying around the spas after the quest. This is because once a wimpy bird, platypus, or diseased kebbit is caught, it is seen as flying bugs. It can also be noted that they will always move to another spot when the player is standing in theirs. For example if passing one while lighting fires, it will keep moving one square to the west, one space ahead of the player.
