The GR Maverick Hunters is a Maverick Hunter organization created following the events of Mega Man ZX Genesis and Mega Man ZX Mutation. The GR Maverick Hunters were created in order to combat the ever-present threat of Mavericks even after centuries of progress. The commander of the GR Maverick Hunters is Zero, who suggested the rebirth of the Maverick Hunters. While a proficient Maverick Hunter and even more skilled than Zero, the revived X chose instead to take up a diplomatic role as leader of Virtue Arcadia. The Four Guardians chose to follow in X's footsteps, and four "protege" Reploids were made based on their designs to serve in the Maverick Hunters.
