Lois Daine (born 5th December 1941 in Bolton, Lancashire) appeared on Coronation Street in December 1970 as Jean Moseley and made a return to the programme in August and November 1974 as militant Mark Brittain Warehouse shop steward Peggy Barton. Her other credits include Armchair Theatre, Man in a Suitcase, The Gamblers, Z Cars, Churchill's People, Play for Today, Crown Court, Hazell, The Olympian Way and The Bill. One of four children, sister Lesley also appeared on the programme as stripper Josie Steel in August 1976 and as Irene Sherratt during December 1985 and March 1986.
