Ajir was a star system located in the Bajor sector of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. The Ajir system contained a number of worlds, including ninth planet Ajir IX. In 2323, Ajir was the site of battle—first between a Tzenkethi marauder and the Bajoran Republic warships Clarion and Glyhrond, and then those three ships were set upon by two Cardassian Union warships. The Cardassian ships ended up destroying the Bajorans and capturing the Tzenkethi. In 2328, Grek and Syjin discovered the remains of the Clarion on Ajir IX's moon.
