The diameter is the longest, straight-line distance spanning a circle (2D), sphere (3D) or hypersphere (4D), from one point on its circumference to the most remote point from it, generally passing through its center. It is also the longest chord that exists in any given circle. It is twice the length of the radius of the circle.
