The Spirit Of The Scales is a spirit being that appears in the cartoon show episode "Smurf On The Run". He monitors the scale located in a special cave that contain two precious gems that hold the balance between truth and lies: the Topaz Of Truth and the Diamond Of Deceit. When one of the gems is broken, the balance between the two is disrupted, which means people in the world can either only speak the truth or only speak lies, depending on which of the two gems was broken.
