Major Wayeh Surt was a male Bajoran in the 24th century. In 2376, Major Wayeh served as the Bajoran Provisional Government administrative liaison to Deep Space 9. In April of that year, his wife was killed in a Jem'Hadar attack on the station. Despite his offering to stay and help in the aftermath, Kira Nerys insisted he return to Bajor on indefinite leave to grieve with his children. (DS9 - Avatar novel: Book One)
