Ensign Peter Lin was a command division Starfleet officer serving aboard the USS Enterprise-D under Captain Jean-Luc Picard during the late 2360s. In 2367, when the Enterprise-D was trapped in a Tyken's Rift, Lin replaced helmsman Sariel Rager at the conn, who no longer remembered how to operate her console. (TNG: "Night Terrors" ) Lin was played by Brian Tochi. His first name was given in the script and the Star Trek Encyclopedia (3rd ed., p. 274) .
