Energy Pummels were large tank-like siege engines used by the Trade Federation. Utilizing powerful short-range lasers, pummels were used to grind down enemy defensive fortifications, including walls and turrets, allowing infantry and lighter units to breach enemy defenses. Though heavily armored, pummels were also very slow and vulnerable. To compensate for this, pummels were sent into battle heavily escorted. In 32 BBY, Energy Pummels saw action during the Invasion of Naboo.
