King Chee-Chee I is the half-brother of the late Mungo XXXIII and the present ruler of Monkey Land. He went on a quest to depose his brother and claim the power of the Unbent Banana for his own. He ended up in various arrangements with Vauldorf Springer who he planned to use for his own ends although Vauldorf's stupidity hindered his ambitious plans time and time again. Chee-Chee became the King of Monkey Land during the Great War and has remained in power ever since.
