Jimmy Borges (1955-1985) was an electronics distributor, but was also a drug distributor in heavy volume located in New York City, a friend of Miami drug dealer Newton Blade who referred James "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs to him to unload a supply of confiscated drugs from Metro-Dade. Borges was reluctant to help because of the Revillas controlling supplies in New York, but agreed after receiving a lucrative offer from Crockett & Tubbs. Driving in his 1958 Yellow Cadillac convertible, they failed to make a dent in the supply train until Crockett and Tubbs steal the Revilla's supplies. But before they could work on their plan, hitmen working for fellow drug dealer Frank Sacco kill Borges in his apartment.
